With the latest firmware that was released for Samsung QB series displays in December of 2024, there is a bug in portrait mode when showing videos. The videos appear to have a gray line at the bottom and a black line on the side.
We have created a ticket on Samsung partner site and they are working on fixing it. We will provide updates as soon as new firmware is released.

Hi, we're running Samsung's SAQB85C Smart TV in Portrait mode, and even though we never noticed it before, we do have a thin grey line in the lower part of the TV. How can I update the firmware on our TV?

          Hello,

We have a handful of Samsung QB75R in the New Orleans store, I do not see the grey line you're mentioning, however, I am having issues when they have a power outage. When the TV comes back up it's defaulting to HDMI 1, is there a solution to fix this?

@simplyjourneymen This is a known issue, but worry not 🙂 The most likely reason is that HDMI-CEC (called Anynet+) is enabled on your TV, then this feature automatically switches to a new source if it powers on or is plugged in. @stellsspermatist there are several ways to update firmware. Easiest is to go to TV settings -> Support -> Software update -> Update now
