@simplyjourneymen This is a known issue, but worry not The most likely reason is that HDMI-CEC (called Anynet+) is enabled on your TV, then this feature automatically switches to a new source if it powers on or is plugged in. The website in my website plugin is not showing?Depending on the player you are using, the website in digital signage is embedded differently:
iframe for Web Preview / Samsung Tizen / LG WebOS players
webview for Chrome / Windows / Mac / Linux (Raspberry Pi) / Android (Amazon FireTV)This is due to how HTML5 works. Iframe runs in a ‘sandbox’ as part of the browser window, whereas webview functions as a separate browser window. If the website you are trying to embed returns X-Frame-Options DENY/SAMEORIGIN header, the page cannot be displayed in an iframe because the website owner has forbidden it. However, the page is still rendered on our players that use webview instead.
in your case I see the website publisher has blocked iframe's, so two options:
You can contact the website maintainer or developer and ask them to lift the restriction.
You can use a player that displays the websites in a webview (see above) to bypass the restriction." -
Can I pause audio for some slides that have videos?Hi Jojo,
We actually have a feature where you can pause music in individual slides, check out this article; https://playsignage.com/support/playlists/#background-music, and in our FAQ, this;
"Can I pause the audio for some slides that have videos?
Yes, once you have added some background soundtracks, there is an additional option available in the slide settings. To find this setting open the slide for which you want to pause the music. Open slide settings (the page where you’d change slide duration) and click on the “Advanced” section." -
Can I integrate social media feeds?Hi, yeah you have several options when adding social media content to your digital signage content, check out this article; https://playsignage.com/support/social-media/

Can I share a playlist with another team?I am afraid not, you can only share a playlist with teams where you are the owner.
-
Can I share a playlist with another team?Yes, Absolutely.

Team ownershipHi,
We call it "transfer ownership", check out this article; https://playsignage.com/support/transfer-ownership/
However, this would require you to have access to the current owner's e-mail so that you could reset the password and log in as that person.
If that's not the case, you're going to have to send an e-mail to [email protected] asking for the team's owner to be transferred to XYZ. We might ask for verification when you do this.
For your second question, the answer is no, but you can have multiple SUPERADMIN members on your team. Check out this article; https://playsignage.com/support/teams/#how-it-works

Can digital signage be used for interactive purposes?Yes. By going to settings under your screen and toggle on Optimize for Touchscreen you're preparing the media player for touch. Having done that comes the hard part
Now you gotta create your content. There is a guide here: https://playsignage.com/support/touch/, but the general idea is that you can add touch areas everywhere in your content to move between slides. Try it out, you'll find out it's very easy working with touch in our editor.

AlertsLet me see if I understand. You want to be able to set the on/off, the time, and the e-mail addresses for multiple screens in bulk, right?

Regulations in public spacesHi,
Yes, there are actually several regulations that you'd have to take into consideration when creating digital signage for the public space.
Keep in mind that regulations for the use of digital signage in public spaces can vary significantly depending on the country, region, and local jurisdiction. It's essential to be aware of and comply with relevant laws and regulations to ensure responsible and legal deployment of digital signage. Here are some aspects to consider:
- Local Zoning and Land Use Regulations
- Permitting and Licensing
- Content Restrictions
- Accessibility Compliance
- Traffic and Safety Regulations
- Environmental Impact
- Privacy Concerns
- Historic or Cultural Preservation
- Size and Placement Restrictions
- Local Business Regulations
- Community Input and Consultation
To navigate the regulatory landscape effectively, consider consulting with local authorities, legal professionals, or regulatory experts who can provide specific guidance based on the jurisdiction where you plan to deploy digital signage. Staying informed about the applicable regulations is crucial to avoid legal issues and ensure the responsible use of digital signage in public spaces.

Streaming live videoThere are a couple of ways you can do that, but it really depends on what you have on your end and what protocols you can use.
One option is YouTube streaming, https://playsignage.com/support/youtube/
Another option would be the HLS/RTSP/RTMP streaming, https://playsignage.com/support/stream/
And finally, you could stream directly from a webcam using the Video Input plugin; https://playsignage.com/support/video-input/
Let me know if you need more on one or more topics.

Updating my Raspberry PIIf you have a version 2.6 or older the app can't update automatically, and you would have to;
- Remove the screen from my.playsignage.com/screens
- Uninstall our app on the Raspberry PI
- Download and install our app on the Raspberry PI (Download it here: https://playsignage.com/setup/raspberry-pi-digital-signage/#download)
- Add a new screen in my.playsignage.com/screens using the code displayed on the screen.
If you have a newer version of our app it should automatically update every time we release a new build, however this doesn't mean your RPI will update the same day we release, as we have thousands of RPI's around the world so we have to use a technology called staging.
If there is a feature you're missing and you need it now, you can reach out using our live chat and then we can force an update remote.
I hope this helps.

My screens are not following the schedules I addedOkay, I see that the time on your FireTV Stick is Dec 3, 2024 14:45:33. You'll need to change the time and time zone on the media player. This is done in Amazon's settings.
You'll need to exit our app, go to Amazon's settings, find and fix the time or timezone, and relaunch the app.
