Samsung Tizen firmware S-KSU2EWWC-1100.8 bugWith the latest firmware that was released for Samsung QB series displays in December of 2024, there is a bug in portrait mode when showing videos. The videos appear to have a gray line at the bottom and a black line on the side.
We have created a ticket on Samsung partner site and they are working on fixing it. We will provide updates as soon as new firmware is released. -
PowerBI does not work on Samsung Tizen displaysI see, that device is running Tizen 4.0 operating system. Unfortunately the issue you're having is due to the fact that the internal browser of the TV is very old, Tizen 4.0 comes with Chrome 56 embedded in it and there is no way to update it unfortunately. Now Microsoft has updated the plugin code for the PowerBI and they're using newer JavaScript functionality that simply is not present in the Chrome 56. For reference currently the newest Chrome is version 131.
We have seen also Google Calendar updating their website with also newer features that makes displaying calendars on older devices impossible. It's sad that internal browser updates are not possible on professional series signage TV's like Samsung, but this also applies to LG devices.
Here is the table of the Chrome versions in Samsung:

Unfortunately if you need to keep using powerBI, I'd recommend purchasing a Amazon Signage Stick and plugging it into the computer. Android platform is architected better in the sense that browser updates are decoupled from the operating system, so Android players will not expire in this manner.
