Hi Ermeco, Thank you for taking the time to share your idea! We really appreciate your thoughtful suggestion about extending the tag functionality to individual slides within a playlist. The ability to trigger specific slides based on active tags — while keeping the main playlist intact — is an interesting concept and could indeed offer greater flexibility, especially for users looking to streamline content management and avoid duplicating playlists. We've noted your request and will keep it in mind as we continue to evaluate future improvements to the platform. Thanks again for your input and for being part of the community! Best regards, Siim PlaySignage Team

Hello @teamblue, thanks for your feature request. You’re absolutely right — restricting content resolution on specific playlists is a great idea, and I’m happy to let you know that we’ve actually released this feature! You can find this feature under the Playlist settings, along with a number of other useful options: https://playsignage.com/support/playlists/#options Limit video/image resolution to Full HD [advanced] - Restricts the maximum resolution of images and videos added to a playlist to 1920x1080 (Full HD). This feature is designed for display owners who want to ensure smooth playback and consistent performance across all screens. For example, if your media players are not 4K capable, this option helps avoid adding 4K content that could overwhelm the player.

Hi, Go to Groups and Schedules, on the right side (by each group) you see how manu schedules that are added to the individual group. For example, if you have 3 schedules it will say "3 Schedules", and if you have no schedules, it will say "Add schedule". (See attached) [image: 1745251949059-screenshot-2025-04-21-at-9.12.23-am.png]

Hi @NextGenAds . You could create one or more playlists and place the slides you want to save in there. You'd do that with help of slide stash (temporary holding area). You could also put those playlists in a folder to keep them separate from other playlists you use daily.

I were not able to allow iframe on my website, due to company policies, so I'm thinking we'll put some money in a RPI4. Thanks for helping out.

@NextGenAds Disabling notification is a feature that you can access from your profile by going to Profile -> Other setting. Sorry for not clarifying this in my privious answer. Let us know if this is something that works for your issue [image: 1740410155161-e9668e91-3bbb-4678-806d-1203f5f4b120-image.png]

Hello, you can achieve this by using Tags and API calls. You can set a Tag, for example "discount" for a playlist that you want to show when temp is above 28deg and another Tag when it's below 28deg. You can call those Tags through our public API. I am afraid not, you can only share a playlist with teams where you are the owner.

Hi, Yes, there are actually several regulations that you'd have to take into consideration when creating digital signage for the public space. Keep in mind that regulations for the use of digital signage in public spaces can vary significantly depending on the country, region, and local jurisdiction. It's essential to be aware of and comply with relevant laws and regulations to ensure responsible and legal deployment of digital signage. Here are some aspects to consider: Local Zoning and Land Use Regulations Permitting and Licensing Content Restrictions Accessibility Compliance Traffic and Safety Regulations Environmental Impact Privacy Concerns Historic or Cultural Preservation Size and Placement Restrictions Local Business Regulations Community Input and Consultation To navigate the regulatory landscape effectively, consider consulting with local authorities, legal professionals, or regulatory experts who can provide specific guidance based on the jurisdiction where you plan to deploy digital signage. Staying informed about the applicable regulations is crucial to avoid legal issues and ensure the responsible use of digital signage in public spaces.

Hi, okay, it's actually very simple; Creating effective digital signage content requires simplicity and focus: High-contrast colors and readable sans-serif fonts ensure clarity, with font sizes appropriate for the screen’s placement and viewing distance. Keep text minimal, using short phrases or key points. Incorporate high-quality images and subtle animations that enhance rather than overwhelm your content. Highlight critical information in a clear hierarchy. Regularly update content to keep it fresh and relevant for your audience. Tailor your messages to your viewers’ demographics and environment. Create calming, inclusive entertainment for clinic waiting areas that are suitable for all ages.

These considerations may vary by location and industry, but some common legal aspects include; Copyright and Intellectual Property, Trademark Compliance, Privacy Laws, Accessibility Compliance, Defamation and Libel, Local Regulations and Permits, Data Protection Laws, Emergency Messaging Compliance, Public Performance Rights. It's important to consult with legal professionals or specialists familiar with digital signage regulations in your specific location and industry. Staying informed about legal requirements helps you avoid potential legal issues and ensures that your digital signage content is both effective and compliant with the law.
